Headed to Vermilion Friday. Is the water still frothy from all the casting last week? How much water was lost over the dam by having all those boats on the water?

Seriously, any current reports?
report.

fishing has been very very very slow. Look at the numbers caught at the M1st outing or the Muskies Inc Challunge.
Guys I know that just got back had very little action. that can change in a second though so best advice is go fish hard and see what happens. If they were on fire last week that means nothing to the week you could experience.

We had moderate success last week, 7 skies boated from 45-52inches, 1 40in pike. We did get two during the Gil Hamm and took a 3rd place team/2nd place chapter finish (Bemidji/Cass Chapter). Shallow weeds and blades accounted for literally all our action, finding a few fish and then going back to them over and over and over again paid off. There were far west end fish. The two winning teams got bunches of fish in the wind fishing shallow rocks/small bucktails on the east end. Pick your poison, fish are primed to start biting any time now, probably real hard.

Good job, Brian! You and Jeremy were partners I assume? Sorry I missed you guys again this year. I swung by your folk's place a couple of times but didn't see anyone around so I motored to my next spot. Caught 2 nice muskys this year. It was a great trip. Take care and say "Hi" to your family for me. I'll be watching the threads for pictures.
