| Recently my polarized sunglassed were accidently stepped on an broken. Looking for a new pair of sunglasses, can anyone recommend one certain lense color over another. Gray, Amber, Backwater Green or others.
Any information is appreciated.
Thanks

| I have always found grey to be the most restful through many conditions of fishing various waters, winter and summer, and hunting in sun, snow and ice.
Second bit of advice, don't go to Wal Mart for them, the coating tends to be blotchy around the edges of the field.

| ROSE...then all your ski fishin' episodes will be rosy...[:p]
Sorry about that - think I've gone too long without a ski stretching the line.
Actually, I like gray lenses the best. No particular reason , it just seems more natural to me, I guess. My musky fishing is somewhat hilarious (to others) but amber, green, blue, etc. makes it seem like a cartoon even to me....[;)] |

| My vermillion (reddish) colored Costa Del Mars are nice. "They" say that the lense is designed for sight fishing.
I tend to believe them since I've had many experiences where I've seen fish long before those with me who are using other brands/types of lenses.
Either that or I have an overactive imagination coupled with terminal optimism!
I'll just blame the lenses.
Check 'em out, they do work well. There are a lot of them that work well. Have fun finding the right one for you.

| Just picked up a pair of Oceans Waves with the Backwater Green lenses.
Haven't been out on the water withthem yet, but they were recommended by other musky freaks.
Some pretty cheap deals are available from campmor.com, but they tend to be gray lenses only. I had a pair of Nikons from there that were nice, they also have some polarized Bolle and Serengetti's for less than $50.
I'll post again after I have some time on the water with the Ocean Waves.
Have a groovy day,

| I use the amber lenses as I can see the best under water w/ them. I have the interchangable H3Os that include the light/dark grey lenses but use the amber almost always...probably because that's what I put in first. I like the idea of Vermillion also..those colors just seem to make a bad day better! In fact I just may have a cornea replacement; one eye amber + the other vermillion...better yet I may invent contact lenses in those shades that will eliminate glasses all together [:sun:] |

|
| Strike Kings W/Walmart grey lenses. Love em. Can see right through the girls dresses.Guarenteed to scratch for those special effects. Also got a pair of Maui Jims, but they suck. [:sun:] |

|
| The brightest pair of amber you can find. Sponge is right. You can see into the water better and they even can be worn at night driving. (hick)[:sun:] |

| I love my Costa Del Mars. You pay through the nose for them but like a good set of rain gear they pay for themselves. No more cheap sunglasses for me. |
|
| |
|
| How do they pay for themselves Todd...do you rent them out during the summer season?[;)] |
|
| |
|
| Naw, he just picked them up, put them in his pocket and assumed that they paid for themselves! Just kidding....[:0] [;)] [] |

| ToddM,
I was leaning towards the Costa Del Mars, but could not decide on the lens color. What color lens do your glasses have?
Thanks,

| Dave, mine have the mirrored lenses. They work great, especially on the bright days. Huge difference. You can see follows much better than with cheap sunglasses, just ask zz top. Actually see follows you would miss with the others on.
Sponge, they do pay for themselves. I have my pair working evenings flipping burgers. Hopefully I can learn from them and upgrade my job.[;)] |

|
| Oh, and the reason i went with the mirrored lenses is because they block the most light from coming in. In lower light comditions an amber or grey would work ok. |
