| Hey guys, I'm a member of the Michigan Muskie Alliance, and the guys over there told me this would be the best place for information on a upcoming trip to LOTW.
A couple buddies and me are planning on heading up Sept. 8-12 to Red Wing Lodge and I just have a couple questions.
1. What kind of pattern should I expect to see when I arrive? Has the water cooled enough to the point that ripping bucktails and topwater won't produce as much and I need to adjust from a typical summer patter?
2. I was planning on camping, is this reasonable with bear activity and temps this time of year?
3. How is muskie fishing on the eastern arm? Is it accessible with limited knowledge of the lake and can I find them on my own without hiring a guide?
Look forward to any information that you guys have and really appreciate any help you can give me.

Location: Lake Country, Wisconsin | 1...There's always fish hitting bucktails and topwater in that time period in Canada...Bucktails would still be the first bait out of my box that week and then go from there. Mainly rocks but still fishing a little weeds too
2 camping...you can only camp on resort grounds. Camping on crown land is not permitted.
3...Eastern arm? do you mean the Nestor Falls area? My opinion..that's not necessary when based out of Morson, if that is what you are referring to. There's lots of good water where you are located | |

| From my understanding Red Wing has a campground, thats where I was planning on staying...
Also I meant the Sabaskong Bay area from Nestor Falls to Morson, when I said the Eastern Arm. | |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | The fishing there that time of year can be absolutely stellar. Sand beach area weeds in the back of smallish bays, rock points, reefs, and all weeds, reeds with weeds in front, and rock walls all hold fish. I fished out of Red Wing for years, say hello to Mike for me. | |
