Took my girlfriend up to Eagle Lake for the first time. I made sure she knew that muskie fishing isn't easy, and that 6 days of it might be a bit much for her...

By around noon the first day she had called them every name in the book. Swore she'd never get the hang of casting, not getting backlashes, etc. I can't repeat what she said about muskie fishing, but there were quite a few f-bombs. We finally gave her a topraider and told her to just relax and enjoy the scenery. She was busy watching Arctic Turns, not even watching her lure...

Funny, but her attitude changed after that!

Great story--I have done the same thing myself and so will she again ---But what a great 1st fish----Should keep her focused for awhile.

Congratulations Jeff and Samantha, I hope it was on one of the many lures she has won at our monthly meetings and events. Hope to see you Sept 8th when we are featuring the IL DNR and Project Green Gene!
