Water temps in northeast WI have dropped from 80 degrees to 69 degrees over the course of the last 2 weeks. I can't recall a drop like this in August. My hunch is that this rapid drop might initially shut 'em down. Question is...is it enough to get 'em started in a more fall pattern?

My experience is that it really gets them going and moves them around, deep fish come back up shallow. 69 is a great temp to catch muskies.

I would be all over that. The first good water temperature drop in Fall will start a migration of fish shallow. Over the years I have seen waves of fish move from the deep water to the weeds after a good Fall cool down and water temps drop.

My advice is to get on that outside weed edge and enjoy the cool weather.
