Mr. Smith's mojo !!!!!!!

Boy did you ever have us convinced today, here's the scoop.

We got out at 8:30 and got a rip at 8:31, laughing as I reeled this fish in to see it was a damn pike and a short one at that.

Now it is 9:15 and my partner's rod goes off like he had just got into a king, this thing took close to 150' of line before swimming slowly back at the boat hugging bottom. Once she got within 10' of the boat we got to see this giant of a fish flip us the fin and say Bye Bye. [:((]

Now we were not in good spirits, getting a pike right away and then to lose a fish well over 50 inches just 10' from the boat. But this wasn;'t even an hour into our day things are looking up right.

We decided to stay in that area and troll all day to have a rip but after 12 and to reel this little beauty in and my pard said it was not 30 so he never got the net untill I yelled at him to do so.

To be continued in the next post. [;)]

Now all those with a sense of observation noticed that the fish could not be stretched to 30, we both pulled as hard as we could and all we got was 29 inches. LOL We only took the picture so that if we did skunk the rest of the day we can say we landed one barely short one.

Now I was having a better day having a muskie in the boat getting rid of the skunk, Jason's mojo as well as my pard's mojo by losing the fisrt real fish of the day. He did want to leave early and it did not look good untill we saw some friends on the water and as I slowed down my pard jake got eaten by this a little bigger beauty.

Now this one was an inch bigger then 30 and enough to give us the win and advance to whoop Slamr's little butt In the semis. By the way Slamr this is the last 1 fish day I am having in this event it's all 3 or 4 fish from now on. He he he Ha ha ha [:p] [] [:p]

Nice fish TM, regardless of length. When you're releasing them anyway, a musky - is a musky - is a musky. But I gotta ask ya:

What the h*!! is the garden rake for?

I've heard of rakin' the cabbage, but I though we used musky baits!!!

I KNEW I was missing something in this musky fishing business! lol

Mike LOL the rake was for raking the muskies in. It was my item to bring with me for my MFWW fishing match. Everyone one else gets a knife of fork I get lawnchairs and rake. Can't wait to see what's in line for next round, hopefully it will fit in my pocket this time. [:sun:]

All 85 muskies aboard my boat so far this year are great big or small, I just like the bigger ones a bit more. [:p]

TM:

Keep the rake, it'll come in handy when you're raking in the winnings for the MFWW fishing match!...[;)]

They think twice about what they want you to bring in the future!
