| Painted a couple of baits today and noticed some splattering overspray from the darker colors. Was using the 2x Rustoleum. Do the smaller cans of auto touch up paint splatter less?

| In my experience, No. Spray cans work fine and can actually do a pretty nice paint job. However, overspray is 20X worse than an airbrush. Therefore, it is important to make sure anything you don't want painted is masked. |

Location: Land of the Musky | I used to paint all of my Grunts with Rustoleum and it worked great. You just need to get the feel for how the can's spray. I had to use very fast motions to get a very nice look and I was also very anal about making sure my tips were clean after each use. Just turn the can upside down and hit the button for 3 seconds to get the paint out. You can do this a few times and then the tip is trashed on those. Main things is, use a can as much as you can the first time and you will get the best results. Air brush is the best. |
