Warm water temps push the Muskies out in to the 20' range there, I used to do really well on the deep edges pitching creatures when water temps were up.

Been fishing it weekly since the second week of june as I only live 10 min away.I think it has been spotty .One week its great and then it goes dead. Patterns dont seem to last long and the fish seem scattered and nuetral followed by a small hot feeding window. Hope this post helps . p/s There has been considerable spear fishing on deer for the past 3 winters maybe this is starting to make things more difficult???

Did pretty good out there last year, but after hearing how many got speared out there this past winter and how many got speared out of bone, I havent even bothered making the trip there yet this year.

Look at all the hard work we put into CPR and making musky fishing what it is... Really wish there is something we could do to make these spear fisherman aware of the damage done.

Numbers speared has been pretty consistent on Deer and Bone the past 3-5 years.

Sad thing about the numbers being consistent, I think its really starting to catch up with the fishing. I work at a Gander MNT, and hear guys all the time talking about going to deer and being lucky to see one, I'm sure there are fish being caught but nothing like it has been. It's a sad thing to see and hear about especially for the CPR fisherman out there.

Heading up to Deer the weekend of the 24th and 25th. Does anyone have an update on how things have been recently. Not looking for lures, patterns, etc. Just wondering how things have been going lately. Steve
