whats would everyone reccomend as the best net thats bang for your buck? |

Location: N.FIB | frabill powercatch is a good net,I have a beckman finsaver and like alot,mines about 7 yrs old and I`m thinking about buying a new one since they offer it a tad bit bigger now in the xd size. |

Location: Indiana | Powercatch is great and if you want to save a bit, you can't go wrong. My brother has one and I like it. I do slightly prefer my kahuna though. I have had no problems using it on my own either. |

Location: Contrarian Island | where are you fishing and what size fish are you realistically going to be putting in it....I have the big Beckman for WI waters...and the Big Kahuna for big fish waters..if buying just one I think the big kahuna is the way to go unless you aren't going to be putting 50s in it... |

I think you're gonna need the Stowmaster then. I've got the Frabill Big Game, and it's an awesome net. But if space is your issue, then the Stowmaster is your Huckleberry. |

Location: Northern Wisconsin | Frabill powercatch is the only net i've used and there's no need to try anything different. I fish quite often out of a 14' rowboat and it fits perfectly along the side of the boat. Also works good for fishing alone. |

| There are 2 musky size Stowmaster nets and I use the smaller one in my boat 16.5' and my buddy uses the larger size in his Ranger. They are good nets and if you live near Cabelas in Dundee they sell the smaller Stowmaster and you could go check them out. |

Location: Stevens Point, WI | Esox2hart, if your familiar with the Stowmaster nets, they fold up. If one is running a smaller boat, having a net like the Stowmaster doesn't take up as much room. The net size is usually the same, but it folds so it takes up less room in the boat. That's what Big fish only is meaning.

Location: New Hope MN | Well I got back from my canada trip this year my buddy hooked into a nice 53". She stayed rigid and wouldn't curl up into my old net... we almost lost her! Just bought my Frabill Powercatch. Thanks for the advice guys |

| i like the folding hoop offered by the Stowmaster to save space in the boat, but the small mesh on the bag is a nightmare for tangling up hooks every time there's a fish in the net, and i spent more time freeing the fish and lure from the mesh than actually unhooking it from the fish.
the bigger 1" coated and knotless mesh on the Frabill bag is easy to move through the water, fish-friendly, and doesn't tangle up on lure hooks, but it's tough to find anywhere to keep that hoop out of the way.
soooo...i put a Frabill Big Game net bag on a Stowmaster hoop.
voila! the perfect net.
of course, it'd be a lot cheaper if one of them would MAKE a net like that...
