| Me and my father will be taking our annual musky trip at the end of August. This is only the second year that we have done it and it's our goal to find a body of water that we can go to year after year. We're still in the process of finding this body of water so we are trying new lakes. Last year we fished Eagle Lake on the East side and had a moderate level of success. For our trip this year we've chosen to go a bit further North and try Stork Lake. Has anybody fished this body of water? If you're willing to share some baits that produced for you I'd be very grateful. Thanks. |

Location: central illinois | Go to Bob Mehsikomer's Simply Fishing website. You can watch at least two of his shows on Stork Lake. The shows were very good. I think, in order to watch his shows, you will be re-directed to another website. Jackpots work at Stork for Bob. Jackpots work for Bob anywhere! Entertaining show! |

| Does anyone know where I could get a map of this lake? I don't believe it's on my Lake Master Chip and I don't want to ruin another lower unit. Also what's the water like? clear? stained? |

| I believe the lake map shown on Long Legged Lake Resort, which includes Stork Lake, is the same one I bought several years ago at Four Seasons Sport Shop in Ear Falls. You might want to contact them and your resort for more information regarding maps. Regardless, be sure to have your resort mark your map regarding routes to travel and dangerous objects to avoid.
Good luck. |

| I fished longlegged lake/stork lake for years. This lake is part of the English river system The lake is divided into two parts the upper and lower Upper is deeper and supports lake trout. Lower is shallower with more weeds .Muskie and found in both sections but larger pike are in the lower. The only map i know of is the long legged resort map and thats pretty basic.Access to the lake with you own boat is a little tricky as you have to drive the Bosie Cascade road to the bridge that seperates the two areas There is a beach type landing and if you plan on fishing both sections you have to navigate through the "lifts" which depending on water depth can be a problem Great lake to fish well worth the effort ..Bucktails with a blue to purple hue seam used to be a good pattern as the pike.In summer topwater in very shallow bays Hope this helps |

| Also note the 45 mile gravel road to reach the area. It is subject to washouts. Not for the feint of heart, but beautiful area.
