Location: APPLETON, WI
A buddy of mine is driving over from Mpls. to hang out for a couple of days in September. He suggested we hit a musky lake in Northern Wisconsin. Need suggestions for a solid Class-A lake providing numbers and the occasional trophy, if possible. Would also like nearby [inexpensive] lodging on or very close to the lake we're fishing.

One lake. Overnight trip. Go.

Suggestions?

head up here to Rhinelander. There's plenty of opportunities meeting your needs, and plenty of inexpensive lodging options. I could mark a map for you on a few of them if you like.
