Location: Columbus, Georgia | I ordered some night leaders a few years ago from Crazy D tackle. They were billed as an advantage when night fishing and had a little white ball near the top of the leader. When they didn't work (no glow), I set them out in the sun thinking they needed to be "charged up" by getting some light ... and they still didn't work. The leaders were, however, made very well. The little glow balls simply didn't work as promised.

Location: Kodiak, AK | I like a "little bit" of flash, but not the whole bait. Like the Nite Bite Krisco with the dot of glow, or a mag dawg with a glow tail where I can charge up a just the tip of the tail or something like that. Just enough for me to see movement, but not enoug to light up the lake and look totally weird and obvious. Muskies may not care, but I just prefer to not use a full-on lit-up glow bait. |

| yeah this whole bait glows.. I thought maybe it would be very easy to see, and the fish would have to come check it out!

| I think that muskies are more inclined to hone in on vibe than visual when night hunting. The glow is more useful from the standpoint of being able to see my lure before reeling up into my tip top. I have had pretty good luck using a slip bobber knot tied above my leader which gives me an audible when the lure gets close so that I can sweep into a figure 8. |

Love the idea...I always seem to have trouble when slow rolling blades at night. I have tried the glow beads and they work for a while, but not consistent enough. I will have to give this a try. Thanks! |

| I've been using a red headlight at night to see my bait coming in. It has worked well and the fish don't seem to mind, as I've had them eat at the boat. Plus it's pretty cool watching them bite in the eerie red light. Also seems red won't attract bugs as much as a white light will. |

Location: Land of the Musky | My three models of glow Dominatrix double #10 bucktails also have the Hedron glow skirts on them. They are flash lights at night and I have yet to hear of anyone catching a musky at night with them fully charged and glowing but a lot of good reports of them at dusk, cloudy days or darker waters. Thanks CU301DSV. Send me a picture! |

The one I have is white with a glow blade and a bright pink blade. The skirt on this one doesn't glow. It's getting pretty well used, I cast this and troll this all the time with the blade charged up.
Sorry no pics. This fish hit me so hard out of no where at the side of the boat and the then thrashed pretty good for 30 seconds or so and was gone! |

Location: Minnesota: where it's tough to be a sportsfan! | I have several glow baits of different kinds that have all caught fish. I have not used them allot at night but in the low light times and heavy clouds they do work. I have one that was special made that is 100% glow. It is a big bait so I took my Sharpie and gave her some contrast. Really like the way that turned out. Now instead of just a hue in the water there is easy to see movement. I have put white or glow paint on the backs of my deeper lures since the 70's. I use dashes or dots, I don't know if it really helps but I feel in darker water I can locate my bait faster and thus focus in on any fiendish follower. I like glow baits |

| Fish glow lures in the daytime only. It's not what you think, but that's when they're most productive. |

| I do good with the glow in the dark bulldawg at night. I carry a small bright led flashlight I got at gander to charge the glow while fishing it. It is actually pretty freaky watching it move throught the water. I have mostly caught smaller 40" er's with it...nothing big yet but that might be cause my real confidence bait is the black dawg and I use it mostly. |
