Wondering what exactly this networking capability has to offer and how it can be used to network compatible Lowrance units. Just recently purchased a pre-owned LMS334c which has sonar and GPS capability on a color display. I still have an X126DF unit.
Can sonar data be exchanged between the two units? The X126 is actually a more powerful sonar with 4000W capability. The LMS334, however has a color display which in my opinion offers a great deal more detail in interpreting the sonar data.
The owners manual for the LMS unit is kind of vague with regards to what can be done between units. It does say that GPS data cannot be shared from the internal antenna on the LMS unit unless you buy an external antenna.

The X126 is not NMEA 2000 compatible. So, you can't do any networking of any kind with those two units. The LMS334c can be networked, but you do need the external puck in order to do so.
