Do you know if there are any differences? Did they really make two of the exact same reels and just paint them different colors and give them different handles... same price tag and features according to catalog.

The Cedros has a power handle standard. Neither reel is painted, both are anodized. Okuma is an International company, and designs and builds reels for many market segments around the world. Both are excellent Muskie reels.

Ok thanks, think I need to wait and see how they hold up to muskie since I have heard some negative things about the previous okuma reels and durability.

The new Okuma reels look very cool, new dual anti rev, large handle with big paddles, looks like they fixed the clutch arm from bending, but looks like small brass gears
If this had larger gears it would go toe to toe with a 400TE. So it looks like a good reel for smaller spinner baits and plastic baits.

The issues Okuma Induron models had were not gearing related anyway, they were clutch related and powerhandle design kicking the reel into gear during the cast damaging the reel, and that's been corrected in the new models. I balanced my powerhandles on my Induron 400s, and the issue stopped. Did you also 'hear' that Okuma's customer service has been excellent? I'm sick of the near constant negative current here, seriously. If you didn't buy any product mentioned negatively on this board by the anonymous whiners who want this to be a bad issue of Consumer Reports, you'd never buy anything in muskie tackle.
I had one 250 Induron that had a bad clutch arm (out of the 6 I own, others have been great), they fixed it and sent it back quickly, no issues.
Reels break. ALL of them. I 'heard' Shimano, Daiwa, and other companies have good customer service too, and see plenty of posts here about issues needing repair for their reels. No, neither Okuma is a $400 reel. Neither is supposed to be. The Muskie reel market is quite small compared to all others, and the $350 to $500 reel market for muskies even smaller.
They also have a series of big bait/saltwater reels out from $129 to a couple hundred dollars, and they are very nice...had a couple in my hands at ICAST. I'll own one of the graphite models to see how it does...they tested them under heavy saltwater use and were very satisfied they'll do well in the 'big bait' muskie market.
Define 'small spinners', I'm throwing double 8s and single 10spinnerbaits with no issues using an Akena 250; smooth and not any more effort than any of my reels that size, and the new handles aren't bad at all for larger but not HUGE lures. From that perspective, PM, I'd agree with you

Thanks for clearing that up. The clutch on a couple of my Abu's have went out so that has been an issue for me in the past.. good to see okuma fixed it, definitely want to get my hands on one of these or the cortez for big blades,

I dunno, but I have an Induron 400 and it had a standard handle, it was a chore pulling in anything over a standard musky killer or small crankbait, a big grandma about worn your wrist out....but I got a power handle on here from a guy and couldn't believe the difference! I have it paired with an 8'6" st croix legend mega swim bait rod....and I can pull the 13" grandma, mag dawgs, and even a double 13 with no problems! Like a guy said on up in the forum, it's not the gearing that was a problem, in this case it was the short turning of the handle. I have alot of Okumas and serveral shimanos, quantums, and others for both bass fishing and for muskie. The Okumas do just as good for me for about half of the price. I might buy one of the isis soon.
