You will have to go under the small bridge to get into Mann Lake, as it has no public access. The bridge is located on the east side of the lake, just a bit north and east of the main rock reef north of the buoys after the access. But a boat with any size won't make it. I used to have a 16 ft lund, just a simple boat, that I could pull myself under the bridge when I removed the trolling motor. Mann is uncrowded, and has nice bullrushes and gradual muck/gravel points on the south side, and is steeper, rockier on the west and north. Had luck on the points jigging for smallies I found on the Garmin. Not a big lake at all and not like Baby in clarity and bottom. Baby is crystal clear with lots of rock, and we found cabbage in the sw arm. Always felt that drifting was preferred to motoring there. I've seen lots of "sunning" skies there. Fished it 4x. Closest we came to getting bit there was 2 yrs ago when my then 10 year old put her hand in the water at the public access to get the little sunfish to come to her and a 30 incher from under the dock took a shot at either those fish or her hand. Scared her to death. Good luck.

If the lodge boats are typical 16-18 Lunds, it might work. Otherwise, you might get a boat on a trailer and go down road 22 to the Baby public access. I did not know there was a resort on Mann. Mann not a bad lake to be stuck on. Child Lake is another lake you'd want to get on if you want to catch some nice smallies.

Baby has a lot of fish in it from what I've been told. If is connected to mann i'm sure there is a decent number of fish as well.

FYI

unless hes changed his mind??? the resort owner on Mann lake does not allow people to pay to launch unless you are a guest staying at one of the cabins,,,,good luck with the channel,,most of the time weve tried we would have needed to lay on an air mattress to get under the little bridge,,,,Baby is a beutiful lake and one of my favs average size of fish is alot smaller still alot of shoepac genes present we had a presentation on this lake by the lessard people

the population is pretty low actually, not to discourage you or try to keep you out of there or anything but it;s pretty low population but seen really trophies in there for sure but hard to get on them! very low amount of fish will travel through the channel in my opinion if hardly any at all. maybe spawn that would be it and then even I think they would return where they came from!

Isn't the boat ramp on baby on the east side of the lake because if it is it will be a very short drive to put in on baby and fish muskies?

I've fished it twice with 2 (32 & 36) fish one day and skunked the other. I moved a few fish around the big reef complex on the east shore. Caught the two on the east shoreline south of the landing. Both fish came after dark, lots of traffic both days I was there... never made it into Mann

the ramp is on the South East side of Baby. We call Baby the lake with a temper, as she can get tough when other lake are still ok. Used to be a great action lake, with days not unusual to interact with 5 -7 fish. Now I'd say 3-4 is more the average. Although we have caught A fish every trip over there this year so far. One of the more beatiful lakes in the area.
