I've always been a minn Kota fan but am going to be in the market for a
new trolling motor. If I go minn Kota I'll go 80lb terrova with I pilot. Does motorguide have anything that would compare to that? I know a few people that have motorguides and love them but couldn't find anything like what I'm looking for from motorguide.

By looking at the magazines, it looks as though MinnKota has a lot more options. But, you know, I'm always seeing posts like "my motor won't turn left". And it seems guys are buying foot pedal once a year! Sheesh! I have a MotorGuide that came on the boat back in '93. I've literally NEVER done anything to it. Still goes good. No new pedals, no adjustments, stock prop, no lube. Most I've ever done is take off the prop after a buddy casted into it and got 50lb PP wound up in it.

I've been running the 75lb. Motorguide Wireless for four years, I've had zero issues with any unit I've owned. It's also very hard in my opinion to beat the wireless foot pedal.

I have a couple MotorGuide wireless models. One is at least 5 years old, and zero issues. Changed the battery in the foot pedal(finally) this summer. Good motors.

Having a extra foot pedal is a good idea if your a person like me that would tend to forget to pick up the pedal before moving around the lake or Highway. I sold mine this year ecause of that reason. Plus I am so use to being a cable guy. When I did use it it did work very well. Motorguide makes a very good trolling motor.

My boat came w/ a 45lb wireless motorguide. At some point I plan to upgrade to a larger 24v and know it's going to be hard not to get another wireless. That foot pedal is so nice and its been great when the wife comes out and I can give her the front and control from the back.

I'm a fan!! Of motorguide that is. I have a digital steer and I love how responsive it is. Very fast turning.

Put some male industrial velcro on the bottom of the pedal. It will 'stick' to the carpet pretty well, harder to lose a pedal.

Does the wireless have the option of 'constant on' or 'momentarily on'? Unless I missed it looks like it only has constant on....can someone confirm for me? I love the idea of wireless, but am not a contant on guy.
