Has anyone had a chance to use the 2010 navionics premium north chip (which is supposed to have lotw in HD) in the sabaskong bay area? I'm wondering how much better it is than my 2008 chip which isn't in HD and has a lot of positional errors to it...ie driving over islands according to the map.

Lake master has surveyed all of Sabaskong bay with their equipment. I don't believe Navionics has done so yet. I will try to post screen shot comparisons if I get a chance in the next few days.

In 2009, Navionics spent a tremendous amount of time redoing the LOTW maps. Jeff Brodeur from Navionics talks about the chip that was out last year in this video.

thanks for the info, so between the two maps the 2010 Navionics Hotmaps and the 2010 Navionics Hotmaps Premium are the lakes the same maps or would the premium chip be better than the standard hotmaps? To me it looks like there's just more lakes on the premium chip but I've heard that the 2010 hotmap would be the same as last years 2009 hotmaps premium chip and i just want to be sure i have the most up to date chip.
