Location: Elk River, Minnesota | Hi everyone,
Have a trip coming this Saturday and may end up going through International Falls to enter this year. I have not been through International Falls to Enter into Canada in over 30 years so I have no clue what kind of wait I might have.
Not coming back out through international falls... Just looking for time to enter CA.
Thanks much everyone!!

| Hey Steve -- I think it depends on timing. I usually come through around 2:00 PM, and it's a pretty quick process - takes about 15 minutes. On the way home? Wow. |

| If you are entering Canada on a Saturday go early before 9 am. If can drive to Int'l Falls or even Fort Francis the night before and stay in a hotel you will have it made. |

Location: Yahara River Chain | Two weeks age we enter in the middle of the afternoon and it was very little wait time. But when we were driving through Fort Francis there was a huge line of cars heading to the US.
A week ago when we did head back, hit the border to enter the US at 830am and went through quickly. |

| Our party crossed at Int. Falls into Canada on July 1 at about 7:30 PM with no wait time whatsoever. We only had four questions - where are you from, where are you going, how long are you staying, and are you bringing guns/fireworks etc... We never got checked. Coming back into the US on July 5 we had about a 10 min wait time at 1 PM. We had two questions coming back - where were you and where are you going. The other truck in our group got one backpack searched. No problems this year for us - just remember your passport. |

| Steve,
Went up for the opener a couple of weeks ago with some friends. They hit the border around 12:30 pm. It took them 55 minutes. I hit the border at 2:30 pm and it took me less than 10 minutes. My suggestion is hit before 9:00 am or after 3:00 pm. I make that crossing about 4 to 6 times a year. That seems to work best for me.
Enjoy your trip. |

Location: Lake Country, Wisconsin | I would not cross at 12 noon on Saturday, if you must stick o Saturday I would go pre 8 am or post 3 pm...Got stuck once for hours a long time ago but would never do that again. I generally cross into Canada in the evening on Friday night or I have crossed anytime on Sunday and it is never an issue...as for the way back, ALWAYS get there EARLY if possible |
