Heading up on to fish the great Northwest Angle on Friday with the oldman and was looking to see if anyone knows the watertemps and if the Muskies are on the rocks, islands, or points yet or still in the weeds. Any advice would be greatly appriecited and would luv to hear some stories about some big fish being caught since I have not heard of many big fish being caught in recent posts I have read. All the Best, Dan

Was up for 3.5 days over the 4th, sucked. No muskies in the boat, only 10-12 sighted, fished every kind of structure we could think of and threw just about everything in the box at them but couldn't get it done. Fish were in weeds, island shorelines, and rocks. Moved fish on double-10's, double-13's, a shumway flasher, and a swimbait. Talked to a guy who moved a bunch on topwater and buzzbaits, but we didn't see anything on top.

Water temps around Flag and up to Monument were 69-72, up by Skeet they were 66-68. Algae is already taking hold in some areas.

Thanks for the report, and sorry to hear things did not go well fishin wise, but I am sure you had a blast being in lake of the woods. hopefully they will turn on a bit next week. I will leave a post when I get back. I usually fish the big narrows area.

Just got back late last night. Week started out wet and windy but that changed and so did the fishing. We caught 15 and raised 50++. We had some not so hungry big fish moving but to no avail on getting them to bite. Fish were found scattered on rocks, weeds and combination rock/weed with no real pattern. Algea was farther ahead for the time of year. Did not stop us from catching and raising fish in it. Plenty of clean water available if you prefer. Top water was heating up when we left with bucktails working well throughout (cowgirls & shumways). Joe Bucher was in camp and had a great week catching 49, 50 & 51. Some specrtacular stories and great shows coming up. Had an AWESOME time on the angle. Now I have to count the days til next year.....

I also just got back last night from fishing out of the Angle. Fished from July 4th-9th. We caught 8 fish 46,46,45,40,39 & [email protected] two 48" class fish after hooking them on the 8 boatside. We raised somewhere in the neighborhood of 40-50 fish for the trip. Fish were scattered between rock, weeds and rock/weed combos. We only saw one supertanker 52+ on the trip. Got her to chase a top raider and jackpot but would not eat...tried just about everything in the box for a couple of days on her. Early in the week most of the fish were chasing small crankbaits and bucktails and by the end of the week good numbers raised on topwater. Another great trip overall! Can't wait to go back in Sept.

Just got back from the angle. Fished 3 days boated 12 fish 48.5 the biggest. The rest were between 37 and 43. Mixed reports from other folks up there. Some didn't see any fish at all and others were catching a couple per day. Should only get better in the next couple weeks.
