| I was given the board name "Ranger" by someone who emailed from another board. You there??
I'm looking for a pro-guide in the Iron Mountain area. I'm headed up there next week for a few days of musky harrassin'. Who's head-honcho up there?? I have the skinny on a few lakes up there, but didn't know if anyone had any info to spew.
Has anyone fished any lakes up there lately. Thanks for any info in advance.

| Caldron Falls and High Falls Flowages are the only good ones I know of close to Iron Mountain.
I have heard that the Menominee River holds some fish above and below the dam by the city of Menominee. | |

| The only guide I know of up in that area in Mike Mladenik. Don't have any current info on him right now though. That's High Falls, Caldron Falls and Menomonee River. Don't know about into the U.P. though.

| Hey Now, Phish, Ranger here, from Iron Mountain. I think you can reach Mike M through "Northwoods Wilderness Outfitters", and I believe he's suppose to be a good musky guide. You should be able to find the N.W.O. website easy, it has good area maps, too.
I'm no guide but can turn you on to some great local waters, one in particular if your boat is small enough to manuver through all the timber. I've spent at least 80-100 hours in the last 2 years fishing the Menominee River near I.M.; my experience is that those river fish are few but huge.
