Here's an example of the video quality...this is a hat camera video from Keith's last trip to a small WI Lake.

Nice , makes me want to run out and get an HD camera. Should probably wait until I start catching a few more fish first. Lake looks real familiar to one I fished a lot last year, are there two reed islands behind you?

The video quality was really sharp........but the hat cam still gets me sick to my stomach in just a short time. Doesn't anybodody know how to mount a cam on a pivot arm with a remote?

Sure, but then you spend all day changing the camera field of view. Helmet cams see what the angler sees, thus the advantage. Take a motion sickness pill, guess.

I ended up making my own hat cam, not an HD camera attached to it but for my needs I think it works great. I get people staring at me wondering what I'm doing but whatever. Whats the battery life on yours Steve? Also what do you do to keep water off the camera?

I have a POV1.5, which is waterproof, that we use in the rain. This unit isn't waterproof, so in the rain it's off. Battery life with E Cells is about 6 hours for each, I carry extra rechargeables with me.

This video is standard definition, by the way, it's the encoder that makes it so clear. I'll try to get a High Def clip next week when I get back home.

Nice! I've been working with the Contour HD which looks very similar to the Midland. ....now I just need to buy a new cpu to run Adobe Premier Pro or alike for proper editing.

Steve, if I upload a cut version of a vid (which renders the video lower quality) will the encoder adjust it back to HD quality once uploaded?
