Do any of you have a "Pedistal Pal" bait box? Looks quite handy - but for $70? Would a PVC version of that be just as effective minus the slots on the outside of the box for your tools?

Have on and love it, its worth the money!! The biggest plus is the tools you need will always be right there. I can also keep all the bait I would throw( my go to stuff) right in the box I dont have to look through the rest of my crap to find something. One word to the wise make sure to have the bait inside the box not hangin on the outside, a trip to the ER last year taught me that. Scooped a fish for my brother and couldnt stand up. Hooked to the box by a Dawg he hung on the outside.

I like it because I can use it as a day box when I go fishing in another boat. Just pull the seat grab the strap and carry it away.

The Pedestal Pal is great. Nice for quick changing baits, keeping tools close and nice for jumping in your buddies boat for a few hours of fishing. Lakewood Products are quality, Steve makes a great product.

I have one and its ok. It is nice for a day box and does hold more than enough for any given day however it does not fit around my base very well because it is not flush with the boat. Didnt think of that before I bought it. Plus if I have three guys in the boat, I like to remove the pedestal seat in the front to give everyone more room.

The other bummer I have found is that if it rains, all of your baits get soaked along with everything in the pockets, you have to take everything out to properly dry it all or some stuff with start to rust. Make sure it fits around your base and pedestal post.
