Is Lowrance still supporting LCX units? Got this question from a user, just wondering the real answer here:

Lowrance is no longer providing support for the LCX line of sonar/GPS as well as other older Lowrance models. You can no longer send an LCX model in for repair.

They are offering a $75-$400 rebate towards the purchase of a new model.

They are supporting SOME LCX units from the last generation. Those units include, LCX-113, 112, 38, 37, 28, and 27's. It also depends on the problem.

Lowrance has always supported the last generation, and further generation units as far back as they can, but only till their stock of parts are gone. Once the stock is gone, they no longer support the older ones.

*NOTE: Just because one buys a unit two years ago, doesn't mean they will support that. Lowrance goes by the release date of the unit. So, if you own a LCX-111, that unit is more like five years old or older, released between 2004-early 2006 (can't remember the actual release date on that unit), so, one may have bought it two years ago, but it's not two years old from a release date standpoint.

Thanks for the explanation TJ. By the way, the tech support told me it was all lcx models because I asked her about an upgrade to a 113 with the rebate they were offering. Upgrade was to the HDS units only.
Whatever.. frustrating having 4k worth of electronics with a few issues and not being able to address them
