Location: OHIO | Here are some cranks I finished last weekend.. All are 5" and in the 1.7-1.9oz range with exception of the 7" gold foil Sucker pattern..
Colors: Copper foil, Fire Shad, Gold foil, Natural Shad, and Gold foil Sucker..

I do have a question, how do the baits run with a horizontal line tie? Never seen a crankbait with a line tie in that direction. |

Hey Todd,
They run great w/the horz tie positioning.. It helps keep the roll under control without having to add more weight.. one less splitshot used in belly..
Also I assemble & pre-test every lure prior to painting and I can tune the lure during pre-test.. Bending the horz tie alters the depth it runs by bending tie slightly up or down..
if you're familiar w/the old Creek Chub Pikie lure or Creek Chub Surfster, they had the thru-wire horizontal tie coming out of the metal lip.. You would tune it by bending the tie as I described.. Both of those lures are still widely in use today in saltwtater for stripers..
I caught onto the horz tie by having made & custom painted hundreds of Pikies & Surfsters for striper guys on the east coast over the years..

Location: OHIO | Here is a medium size Ohio farm pond Largemouth Bass I caught today.. I was swim testing a few lures and hooked this fish, decided to take a photo.. The lure is one of my handmade crankbaits, and is 5.5" and 2.3 ounces.. It is in a silver foil shad pattern.. I was wearing my lucky Ramones T-shirt, and caught the bass on my third cast.. Ok, so the lure worked great, testing is over!...
