I changed my lower unit lube a couple of weeks ago and it looked milky, used the boat a few times and changed it again today.when I took the screw out straight water came out and then milky gear lube,I hope it`s just a seal but what else could it be.

Most likely just the seal. Happened to me last year, same thing, replaced the seal and i was back in business. Glad i found it since i change my fluid before winter storage. Hate to have it freeze.

It is a bad seal I had it happen too. I removed the plug and water just came pouring out, after the water came out I had milky grease come out next.

I would have your lower unit pressure tested ASAP. Either have a dealer remove the LU or you can do it yourself. I can't speak for Evinrudes/Yamaha's/Johnson's/Suzukis/Hondas but I've done it on Merc's and it's pretty easy.

Changing the seals themselves in my opinion is best left to the dealer. I know that Merc's require special tools.
