Anyone planning fishing tomorrow needs to be on there toes come afternoon/evening.Models are coming together for possible Supercells with strong tornadoes across certain areas of Minn./Ia. depending on how convection plays out in the morning time.Lots of things could change between now and then(weather ingredients),so be prepared with a weather radio,tv,etc.Better safe than sorry...

Sorry you hate the rain, but I love severe weather, and they really need the rain up north.....

I hope everyone took the right measures to watch the weather that unfolded this afternoon and still continues in Minnesota this evening.Very deadly tornadoes where on the ground and still getting reports that some cells continue to produce tornadoes.I couldnt make it up today, but was nowcasting for two stormchasers that had strong tornadoes on the ground doing massive damage. My thought and prayers go out to those that are affected...

So far we avoided the nasty stuff up on the NW Angle but south and west of here it sounds bad. I herd on the Wx band that red lake will have 6 foot waves with 58 mph winds!

Some cells pushed through today but nothing real bad other than periods of high winnds and rain.

Looks like sat thu tue will be nice for the muskie opener.

That Fred (missourimuskyhunter) is a nutjob. All chasin around tornados and such. How he gets his wife to go with him-and like it-is beyond me. Typical wed. afternoon phone call during storm season. Me: Hey Freddy, what's up. Fred: Oh, just cruising through western kansas, waiting on this storm to develop. Think, I'll head up to Nebraska tomorrow. See if I can get my explorer pounded by giant hail. Me: Well, good luck.

I'm jealous!!! Very cool!

I think if I asked my wife to go storm chasing, the conversation would go: Me "Yo mama, there are some storms brew'n that look like they could drop some tornados. Let's go get some video". Wife: "Go ahead, just make sure your life insurance and beneficiary information is up to date cause I'm not going". Me: "10-4, my girlfriend is my beneficiary, is that going to be a problem?" LOL

i'm in NP, Minnesota and we were in the gap between the bad-stuff and more bad-stuff. the sky last night after it ploughed through was something to see.

i really appreciated the message here and changed my plans because of it. my plan had been to go to the Cabela's store in Owatonna after work and i would have been driving into the heart of the worst supercell area.

thanks momuskyman ... some pretty impressive insight. you would think weathermen on tv could do what you can do!! i appreciated the heads up.

Sad stuff Esox. The pictures from that destroyed Cenex in Mentor is where a man died protecting his daughter. Sad day.

I talked with Brad Hoppe tonight, they watched three Tornadoes touch down from their house with no issues there at all except power loss. can you imagine what the woods around his house would have been like to walk around in after say 20,000 7/0's got tossed around had it hit the shop. Note to self you do NOT want t be anywhere near The Musky Mayhem factory if a storm hits ..........
