I'm looking for COPPER Willowleaf Blades.... on both spinnerbaits and bucktails. I'd really like to get a Windel's Harasser with a COPPER Willowleaf blade. Anyone know where I might find one?

Better yet, anyone know how I can get ahold of Mark Windel's? Any other willowleaf bucktails out there with copper blades I should be looking for???????

In case you are wondering why my fetish with copper.... it seems to be the ONLY blade my box is lacking at this time.... and the fish seem to have a taste for them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

P.S. I'd prefer the copper blades have a lacquer finish to prevent tarnishing too.... or I'd get me a Buchertail.

jlong,

I might be able to get you some copper blades for your spinnerbaits. You have to really look around to find them. Brass and gold have kind of taken their place. I keep some copper blades in inventory for custom orders. I also like red/copper for LOTW. Drop me an e-mail at [email protected] and let me know if there is anyway I can help you out.

i gotta agree with mr schaeffer; grim reaper makes a great tail and i believe the copper blades he uses are already clearcoated so they won't tarnish. good luck

jason, I have a bunch of those! Size 7

I use the fluted copper and colorado copper blades more often than the willow ones. I prefer chartreuse for those.

Buchertails have those in copper blades

Set pennies on a train track...drill the hole + attach...where else can you get a blade for 1 cent?[:0]
* Have you received anything in the mail yet while I happen to be thinking about it?

Jason,

I have had a hard time finding them too. I've been using baits(hellraiser bearpaws) with the pointed fluted(like hi fin uses). The only problem is that they ride a bit higher than the willow, which is fine for my use, but probably not ok for the water you are on. I'll keep an eye out.

There may be more to this copper thing than meets the eye, litterily. When I lived on the outer banks of N.C., we tied copper strips onto our stainless leaders to attract sharks to our bait.I know were not talking sharks, and were not fishing salt water, as it has higher conductivity, but copper has different properties than other metals we fish with. So whats all that mean? probably nothing...NeverMind

Daggone dude!!!! I left there in '76...I remember the Atlantis well, used to be a girl named Paula that worked there! Were you there when the Foosball Palace was next door to the Atlantis; it burned down sometime in the 70s. We lived on Bayview in KDH + a buddy of mine runs the water dept. there in NH. My favorite spot now to chow is the Red Drum Tap/Grill...when I go visit I stay at a friends but most often at the Cabana East- cheap + good trout spot behind the dunes. Place has grown TOO MUCH...only time I go down is in the fall/winter. Almost transfered back down when they built the new P.O. in KH. Where are you at now?[:sun:]
*Almost forgot! There used to be a place called Newbys at the Beach, up from Sam + Omies...Corky Carroll + the Surfettes used to show up on occasion in the early 70s; week nights were mostly surfing movies + weekends had music. The Mexicano had a group from Va Beach called Little Egypt I think that played there alot, Chris owned the place + they had shark tacos + a snapping turtle mounted behind the bar. The Health Dept finally closed him down, sad 'cause we ate there alot + were ok![:sun:]
