Subject: BEST destination for Muskie and when?


I am planning an anniversary trip with the wife and she is up for doing 3 days guided muskie and then 3 days of what she would really like to do (cattle drive).
I am wanting to know when and where in the US and maybe Canada you would recommend for the BEST Muskie fishing - also feel free to suggest a guide as well.

I want to make sure we get on a few fish in the 3-4 days of fishing and we are willing to go to most places in US or Canada (US preferrred but will do Canada for better fishing).

I greatly appreciate your input as we just got back from a few days on Lake Vermillion in MN and she caught her first big fish and is almost completely hooked...now she wants a bigger fish.

Four days with John Anderson on the Ottawa River will certainly put you on fish. Maybe not bigger than Vermilion but potentially much bigger. John's a good guide and the food at his home is great.

Other guides on the Ottawa could also ensure big fish. Marc Thorpe comes to mind.
