Posts: 929 Location: Rhinelander. | Anyone know results for first day? I know by10:30 they had caught 10 fish with I believe the biggest being around 43 inches. Good luck to all fishing it.

| I FISHED THE SPRING CLASSIC. I WANT TO SAY THERE WERE SOMEWHERE BETWEEN 40 AND 43 FISH CAUGHT OUT OF 92 TEAMS FROM WHAT I WAS TOLD. ( I HAD TO LEAVE RIGHT AFTER THE TOURNEY ENDED) MOST FISH LANDED WERE FROM CATFISH AND CRANBERRY AND ALMOST ALL IN DEEPER WATER IN DAWGS. WATER TEMPS WERE IN THE LOW 70'S THE WEEK BEFORE AND DROPPED TO LOW 60'S (63 DEGREES!) AT THE START OF THE TOURNEY. THEY ALSO PUT WEED KILLER ON THE LAKES TO CONTROL THE MILFOIL. WE LANDED 2 SHORT ONES SATURDAY AND GOT 4 FISH INCLUDING A FAT 41" FISH THE DAY BEFORE THE EVENT. (TOTALLY JINXED MYSELF) FUN TOURNAMENT, THE FISH JUST MOVED DEEPER THAN I WAS FISHING. |

Posts: 1061 Location: Medford, WI | Four fish won the tourney and then I want to say five or six teams had three. 31 fish caught on Saturday and 15 or 16 fish caught on Sunday. Too bad there isn't prize money for first fish; we would've walked away with some money on Sunday...not the case though. Big fish on Saturday was 43.75" and it was 43 or 44 on Sunday. Congrats to all teams that were able to put one or multiple in the boat.
