Any info on this rod would be greatly appreciated. The tip guide is bent down and I was wondering if this was normal for this rod as the guy says it has always been that way. Pretty sure the rod says that Aurora is by Superior sports and made in China. There is no hook keeper. It says GRAPHITE on it and pretty sure the line weight was 10lb-30lb.
Thanks in advance
Shawn

Is the rod black/charcoal color? If the tip top is bent, replace it, it's easy to do and cheap. Great rod back than, and still a great rod.

there was a run of Aurora rods that had bad reel seats, they wouldn't tighten down on the reel properly. i suggest putting one of your reels on it and tightening it in place to test before purchasing it.

This is an Aurora by Superior Sports XRL. If it's black/graphite colored and it should be, it's a great rod.

The run of rods with the reel seat problem were Trillium or Conquest models and had brown blanks with burgundy wraps and gold guides.

Thanks guys! The rod is graphite in color with burgundy guide wraps and a burgundy/blue thread wrap in a diamond pattern above the fore grip.

Forgot to add that the guides are NOT gold and the reel seat DOES tighten down.
