| That ones markings are darker but if you look at the fish below very similar markings. There's a lake I fish that has a lot of them marked like that... and I have a funny feeling it's the same lake your friend got that one on. Pure strain musky. They actually look a lot like pictures I've seen of Lake Wabigoon fish though I've never been there.

Location: north metro | check the pores on the bottom jaw. more then 7 then its a for sure musky, 5 to 7 it may be a tiger then the next way to tell is if the the points of the tail are rounded or not. i agree with everyone else for sure a just a really pretty muskie |

Location: Iowa | Thanks for all your input guys, when I look at this fish compared to the leopard tiger below I caught 8 years ago I see that this is not a tiger, and just a really pretty colored pure strain.
Thanks again,
Big Perc

| i wish Iowa got Leech lake strain! |

| Actually it might be a Miger, not a tiger though...a strain of hybrids where the muskie is the dominant gene. A new strain that is just starting to be looked at. That might actually be the first Miger ever photographed...congrats! |

We need more muskies - way too much time in between strikes. Gives a guy too much time to think. |

Location: Iowa | That tiger in the second picture came from eagle lake ontario, the only place where leopard tigers exist as far as I have been told...and yes I have been told by many very reputable muskie fisherman in the industry that the fish was indeed a leopard tiger! |

I dont' think the "leopards" are hybrids, but have a unique pattern to them.
They say they only exist on Eagle.
But fishermen say a lot of things.

Location: Yahara River Chain | The problem I have with the term "leopard tiger" is that one term suggest spots and the other suggest stripes. The reason that hybrids get the term "tiger" attached to them is because of the vivid strips they have. When they don't have those stripes, can you still call them a "tiger"? |

| Beautiful big tiger big perc but it looks like every other tiger that's been put in my boat. 9 from minnesota and two from Canada so far. Pretty sure it's just a nice regular tiger musky. That "leopard" one what every it is looks AWESOME! I'd love to get a replica made of a 50+ of one of them! |

You guys need to read closer what's being typed. In the pic that Brad posted it clearly stated that is is a true muskie not a HYBRID as Big Perc has shown (like the previous poster noted looks just like most other hybrids I've seen) as a "leopard tiger" hybrid that some are claiming only occurs in Eagle Lake. |
