Ran over to the zoo today to try and get one last trip in before Green temps out. Too late. Temps in low 80's. Water also exceptionally muddy, green and murky. Tried to find some clearer water or an inflow that was still going. Unfortunately, the water table has settled alot, and the backed up water being pulled in is from the shallows and is already warm.

I actually got headed up a couple of creek arms looking for something resembling clear and got mobbed by mosquitoes. This is the first time ever in 15 years I have got run off the water in KY by the little buggers. They were thick, and have NEVER seen them in those numbers down here before. High water hazard I guess. Nasty surprise. No problem on the main lake.

I doubt I will fish muskies there until fall. Water profile normally keeps warming until its deep heat in that lake. Unless there is a real snap, don't look for temps or water quality to be very condusive to fishing.

Saw 3 wardens out today, and only one drunk, so that is good. Still had plenty of dangerous boat wakes out there and the lake was full of floating crap, which is unusual with the draw going. Might have had some rain yesterday. Usually the dropping water strands the wood. Oh well.
