| Smaller blades mostly eights. Black skirts with chrome, smoked chrome, and orange blades. Also had success with Mag Dawgs and smaller Trueglide Guppies and Tremors. Definitely fish smaller and target the early season weed growth. |

Location: Lake Country, Wisconsin | Keep a close eye on the weather, with unseasonably warm weather opening week might fish a lot more like July then June...
Black n smoke 10's
black n silver
blk n orange
assortment of dawgs/ Suzy suckers
few #8 blades thrown in
that's about it mostly....

| I go up in August, so I can't help much. Here's what I'd make sure I had, no matter when I was going:
1 tail prop, 1 walk the dog, 1 Suick (BLACK), a Depth Raider, a double 10, a double 8, and a swimbait of some sort. As for color? The tail prop and the walk the dog - any color. Perch on the Depth Raider. For the blades: black hair. Chrome works, smoke works, if you're fishing down South I'd bring something Yellow/Gold, or maybe brown/copper.
Honestly? I'd wait until a week before you go up, and call Steve Herbeck at Andy Myers Lodge and ask him what's been hot this year.
Every year I wind up fishing with the same 5 lures all week. I sleep better at night knowing I have everything known to man, but I never use 99% of it while I'm up there. |

| We fished there last year the first week in july and had several follows on smaller bucktails, Suiks,Mantas, And some type of prop bait (top raider), and a WTD bait (Weagle). My son got a 47 on a perch colored buchertail. Big spinner baits work well also M and G. Where are you stayin at? good luck. |
