Ok i know my little picture is not great but the best i could do.

Anyway Lately my fishing trips have been lasting longer than normal and i am putting another battery in the boat to run the bowmount 12 volt. I do not want to use them in parrallel, so i bought a Perko Battery switch that i can choose which battery to use, or if i want to use them in conjunction. You attach just the positives there.

I have also bought an onboard battery chanrger to throw in the mix.

Now i get to my question is my on paper wiring diagram correct? I know my positives are correct, thats not an issue. I just want to make sure i am in the clear just by hook all the grounds to each other? I would rather be safe than sorry.

why wouldn't you want to run them in parallel?

Because the one battery is 2 years old and i do not want the new battery to carry the older battery that i have worked very hard. Also with the perko switch i it makes pullin one of the batterys easier so i can the battery in my row boat easier. Because the wires will not be hot, as long as i have the switch no on for that battery i do not have to worrie about tapeing the ends of the leads

OK-Guys. Here's the skinny on using two batteries in parallel versus using them separately on a 12V trolling motor. There is little know rule of battery physic's. - If you cut the battery load in half you will get 3 times the run-time.
F.ex your trolling motor draws ~25A and each battery will power it for 4 hours when connected individually.
If you parallel the batteries- each battery will see half the load and you should get 12 hours, versus 8 hours using them individually.
