since it's a father/son trip, it's a multi species trip but we spend time concentrating on muskies..if you have any insight.

I have fished at camp manitou twice, once in 2006 and again last year. Manitou is a great lake if you are chasing the big girls. We were there mid summer both times and we mainly targeted muskies, but we also caught tons of smallies and a good number of pike.
There is alot of structure to fish and we spent alot of time in Esox lake, which is south of the camp about 4 miles, you go through it when you boat up from the landing to the camp. My husband boated a 52" in '06 his biggest. In our two trips we caught 11 muskies on the main lake.
The camp also has 1 boat on a little lake that is loaded with muskies (up to about 38") We did a trip to that lake each year, in '06 we caught 12 with lots of follows and in '09 we caught 15 again with lots of follows. The biggest was only 36", but it was fun.
If you are looking for a father/son trip, make sure you go to their portage musky lake, it's great.
The camp is fully modern and the staff is great, Matt likes to fish muskies so he had pretty good info for us to get started.
