Subject: Casting distance with a calcutta TE

Location: Glenmoore PA		I've got a 400 calcutta TE. I Can't cast as far as my other reels such as my curado 300 and my abu C3 6500. I have 4 of the VBS turned to the off position and two on. Just wondering if I should turn them all off. Will I get more backlashes? Are people able to cast really far with these reels?

I engage every other one and cast pretty well with it.

Pretty well?? You throw farther than anyone I know! Especially with that 10' rod.

Location: Columbus, Georgia		I own one dozen Calcutta 401TE's. I've never even gone near the VBS you speak of. I adjust the silver knob on the side of the reel so the baits drops appropriately when the thumb bar is engaged.

Matched with the proper rod the reel can cast a country mile.
