i just bought one.. haven't used it yet. Seems a little rough around that edges to be honest. i bought this reel for a spare rod that i keep in the boat. It does seem like a good reel for the price. I casted a few times in the yard and its fine. I did notice the thumb bar release is a little goofy. It was like that on all of them in the store. I went thru 3 of them. They seem sticky. But when your casting them it seems to be a non issue. I haven't fished wiht it yet, but again, seems like a winner for $100.

I don't know what happen with the INDURON reels ??? Here today, now gone. The Akena is a step or two down from the Induron's, maybe Okuma is re thinking about the Musky reel market ??????

Okuma is introducing a new reel. Not sure if it will be at ICAST or later, maybe Mark can chime in. I have 3 Akenas, and like them so far, the real test will be in a couple weeks when I start beating them up daily.
