Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | I have my new phone coming next Tuesday, anyone have experience using the Navionics app? I think TJ used it on one of our ice trips to locate a spot we had fished a few weeks before. Anyone using it?

Location: Kodiak, AK | I've got it, and it's awesome. I don't use it for all it's worth as it's got all kinds of cool stuff on it, but it's nice having it. Last year when my 25C crapped itself on my console, I navved myself back to the ramp in the dark and the fog off my iPhone. What could've been "oh #*#* how am I going to get back across the lake with zero vis" was just "oh crap, now I gotta buy a new console unit." They recently just updated it with a satellite overlay. Not sure what it sells for now. Used to sell for like $30, but I got mine on sale for $9.99 and I think I heard it sells for that now standard.

Location: Right behind you (tap, tap) BOOO | I had it, it was very slow to open zoom and pan in the app, I have the iPhone 3G, not the 3GS.
Steve you may soon wish you would have waited on the iPhone purchase as the rumor is Apple will be announcing/unveiling the iPhone 4 in the next couple weeks, and the specs and capabilities will blow the 3GS out of the water.
Me personally, my contract with Steve Jobs errrr I mean At&t CANNOT end soon enough, then I can do and install what I want on my phone, and not just what Apple gives me permission to install.

You're probably already aware of this option-

I've not broken mine, but several friends have and they're running all kinds of non-Apple apps and programs. |

Location: Kodiak, AK | Check out "Fishing Calendar" "US Radars" "MoonPhase" and "Boat Ramps." All good, cheap or free apps.

Location: Minnesota | Esoxfly... none of the apps you listed are free... I just double-checked... Fishing Calendar is $3.99 while the rest: US Radars, MoonPhase, and Boat Ramps are $0.99... Just thought I'd add to that...

Um, I guess I don't see your point. I said they were "cheap or free." .99 is pretty cheap, and $3.99 is less than alot of the apps, which can run $5 or more. The Radar and Moon Phase apps were free when I got them. They runs "sales" alot of times where an app will normally be $1.99, but free for a week or two. Sorry for the confusion.
