I will be staying on Rainy Lake for a week at the end of august. I was wondering if anyone fishes muskies on the American side or is it all done on the canadian side? If anyone has fished them on Rainy, is there any general areas that are better than others? I'm not looking for specifics, just a starting point. Thanks for any advise.

Redgut to Bleak. BIG Pike in Bleak, look for cabbage and fish 'em.

Red Gut or Siene Bay. I don't think there's fishable population on the Mn side.

I hear there's some in the NW Arm, but not sure. Big pike, great walleyes, and big smallies up there, you'll have fun.
