Location: Neenah, WI | I know this has been discussed before , But I recently made the switch to Full synthetic and the motor seems to run smoother ( I could be nuts) , However I know that manufacturers say you need to run their oil for warranty purposes . Mine is out of warranty so I thought what the heck, I also have less smoke which really cool, Has anybody else had positive experiences with AmSOIL.

Location: Elk River, Minnesota | Hiya,
Amsoil is what I would opine as being the top oil for 2 stroke engines. I have been using the HP injector now for about 8 years and love it!! smooth running, low smoke, no plug fouling, no engine gunk build-up..
it's worth the extra few $$ for how nice it works!

Location: On the water | I would love to try the stuff in my 25 Merc 2-stroke. I called the company and they referred me to some guy who sells out of his house. I called him and he never called me back. There is a place that sells it in a Chicago suburb but you have to have an account with them. All this for 1 gallon of HP to try. I just gave up. |

Location: Grand Rapids MN | Amsoil's distribution is horrible at best... I never figured out why they still continue to operate that way. Luckily a local fleet supply carries a number of their products and it is actually cheaper than Merc/QS standard 2-stroke oil. Made my decision easy. Stuff works well and I really see a difference on my plugs. A lot less deposit. |

Fleet Farm or Farm & Fleet carries most Amsoil products, I think Gander Mtn does too but I'm not 100% sure. Cabelas & Bass Pro are likely sources too. |

Location: Uxbridge Ontario | Just make sure if you are running it in a newer 2stroke that it is DFI injection oil. Pretty sure the HP is and I know the Interceptor and Dominator products that Amsoil makes are.
I have used HP in my Opti in a pinch. It is most likey as good or better than the Merc Opti oil, but until my warranty is up I will stick with the Merc. But Amsoil is about 30% cheaper than the Merc Opti DFI oil too. (Merc = $65/ gal HP= $40... here in Ontario). |
