Does anyone know if the plug ins for the ducer, antenna, and power cable are compatible between the Lowrance X-17, and the LCX-111c, and LCX-37c?
Im looking at some head units on EBAY for pretty cheap, and will purchase one of the cables I already have will hook up.

Thanks,

Bob

This unit is not compatible in any way with an LCX-111 or 37. That unit also uses a different gps puck.

if this is an lcx-17, you need the lgc-2000, and all the plugs are the same as the 111. The 37 requires a different gps antenna( lgc-3000). If this is unit is older than the LCX series, I have no idea what it needs, but I bet you could find out on Lowrance's web sight.

My bad bdog, pete619 is right, all the plugs but the antennae are the same. I was thinking the X-17 was the same as the X-15 and X-16, they changed the plugs with the X-17, that's why I had it confused.

Ok, one more question. Ive called Lowrance, and Minn-Kota, and they both told me to call the other!!! I need the cable that runs between the head unit and the universal sonar transducer in the trolling motor. Does anyone know which cable I need? This motor has the original universal sonar, not the US2, and the graph is the X-17.

Thanks.

Go to the Minn Kota accessories section at Gander or wherever and pick up the package for the US2 cables. It should list on the package which units work with which cable....assuming its compatible with US2. I'd check that out first.

Or, here, made it easy for ya. I did a little hunting on MinnKota's site. Below is a link to the US2 compatibility list. Make sure you have Adobe Acrobat reader and view the chart to double check:

http://www.minnkotamotors.com/fishfinders_compatable_with_Universal...

Assuming yours is a LCX-17M (monochrome, or in normal speak, black and white......which I think all 17s were) looks like yer in luck.

Hey thanks for th info miskie-addict! The issue is I'm pretty sure I have the original universal sonar, not the US2. I wonder if the US2 is compatible with the original universal sonar?

"I wonder if the US2 is compatible with the original universal sonar?"

Its not. I think you can special order a cord as I don't believe they make them anymore for some reason. That or you would have to find a store that has leftover US cords from a few years ago.

Yeah I tried to get one from minn-kota, but they told me to call lowrance. I think I'm going to just go the old school route an buy a ducer and hose clamp it to the motor...

You could also try a fish lectronics or marine general to see if they can make one for you. That is what people have to do to get a Vexilar to read with the new US2 sonar.

MKR-US-5 is the adaptor cable you need. Do a Google search for that P/N. They are out there. About $25.

I might have one at home. I'll look tonight.
