| Zach Sanders is here to fish with me this week. Since he got here early Saturday and my clients that day had to leave at 5pm, I offered to take him out for some bonus fishing that night. He said he would be crazy to pass up my offer, well as this picture proves it that I do not know anyone of would pass up this fish. [:bigsmile:]
I will let Zach tell the story of his fish of a lifetime when he gets back next weekend. [:sun:] |

| wow- i still can't believe the size of that fish! what a monster...
well- i just want to say thanks to Richard Collin for the muskie trip of a life time... and for making my muskie fever even worse... fish like that don't help any... 53 inches was a good guess... it was 53X22 and weighed ~34 pounds... released healthy of course [:bigsmile:] it crushed a spinnerbait at dusk the first "bonus" night of my week long trip... it felt like i had tied onto to a freight train! and always nice when pictures come out so well- will have that one enlarged and framed!
after that night- the cold and strong wind set in- and we had trouble removing a big fat skunk from our boat (Richard's fault, not mine [:p] ) for 3 days straight... but the weather shifted, and the fish turned back on halfway through the week- we landed another nice trophy fish trolling in the early afternoon... it measured out at 50 inches- but was dwarfed by that first fish... it may take me a few years before i see another fish that big in the net- ok, maybe a few decades! haha... but i certainly will be trying hard to beat it!

| you know Mike- there will always be a place in my heart for the chip... [;)] i caught my first muskie there... (and definitely earned it!) but i definitely learned a hell of a lot about muskie fishing there too- so i will be back someday... unfortunately it is a long hike from the east coast... hope there will be some improvements to bring back the big muskies there in the next few years...
you may see me lurking around northern indiana again sometime soon though [:bigsmile:] |
