If you set it back to default, I'm guessing you need to change your map data in the menu from Lowrance to Navionics.

check to make sure its still in navionics under the map data. also try to slide the micro in and out of the adapter card.... it might not be making decent contact.

Menu > Menu > Chart > right click drop down labeled Lowrance and select Navionics. (or click the drop down). You are now in Navionics mode, enjoy.

thanks for the help i tried all those things before and it still didn't work.
made the call to lowrance customer service was on hold less than a minute
after reading all the bad things about lowrance customer service was a little
worried. after talking to the tech guy my unit needed an update and once i
loaded the update my unit works fine. my experiance with lowrance customer
service was A+ so don't believe everything you read. also the tech guy said there
comeing out with another update for hds soon so check there site regularly
I bought this hds from cabelas 3 weeks ago they said it was a new one and had
the latest updates so be warned if you buy one from there be prepared to update
still i can't complain one of my co-workers works at cabelas part time and got me 25% off which kept a large amout of coin in my pocket.
still have 30 more days to are first musky trip can't wait to get on the water
and see what this hds can do.

Hoffman Estates IL.
what i meant to say earlier was that i was told it was a newer unit with the latest updates. which it wasn't and didn't have.
It was a brand new unit it didn't have the latest updates.
downloading from the lowrance site and uploading it to the unit wasn't that hard
all told it took about 30 minutes thankfully my laptop has a sd memory card slot
and other than parting with 12 bucks for the sd memory card it wasn't that bad.
if i can do it anybody can as i'm not good with computers.
