Due to the amount of abuse my ankles, knees and back take while fishing I'm thinking of padding my front casting deck. Are there any products out there for this? Anyone here have any homemade alternatives to share?

The two biggest things that've made the biggest difference for me are a good leaning post and super cushioned running shoes. I keep my deck clear though for the sake of keeping it clutter-free and with good traction when wet.

But if you're looking for a pad, you can find rubberized pads like what Costco greeters and Wal-Mart cashiers stand on. A quick Google search will get you tons of results-

I actually found that a leaning post let me have poor posture and lead to more pain. So I went to no post or seat nd put on a quality shoe. No back or leg pain anymore.
