I bought me a weighted suick the other day and tried it out yesterday. It doesent go very deep at all. It floats on top of the water and when i jerk it it goes only about a foot deep.Is there anything wrong with mine or can i do something about it? Thanks!!!

Tune the tail down some, and experiment with the amount as you work the lure. The weighted model isn't designed to sink, just to stay down better than the non-weighted, and get a bit deeper. I can run my weighted Suicks about 3 to 4 feet after some tuning. Hope this helps!

you should bend the tail down about a 45° angle to the belly, and make sure the rear side of the tail is parallel to the belly of the bait.

then fish it with longer pulls (sweeps) with the rod of about 2 feet long to make it dive. I can get it to 5-6 feet that way. Short snaps will never make it diver deeper than a foot or two.

forgot to mention this: don't bend it further than this 45° mark or your lure will start to swim shallow again but with a tailwiggle caused by the metal lip. Great action but I miss a lot of fish that way.

Good luck!
