Location: Duluth, MN | Been looking into a way to keep my boat in the water more often rather than having to watch the forecast each time i'm out to see if it's going to rain and then have to pull it out. A boat lift with a canopy costs at least $4000. So i started looking around and found a place that you can design your own canopy and they supply you with the hardware and you buy the tubing to assemble it. This shelter is 10x20. Make the legs any length you want for your layout and your all set. I went with the 1 3/8 fence post tubing. It's plenty strong and as you can see i'll be able to pull right under it and not have to worry about sun and rain damage. I'll be able to fish later as i won't have to worry about putting boat up on trailer and putting it away. Water is still low on Island Lake until it rains but you get the idea. Total cost was under $400. Anyways here's some pictures and if anyone is interested in more info on where i got the plans and hardware feel free to PM me.
