I have a hummingbird 788ci. I have just received word that the 2010 Lake MasterChip is not compatible with my unit? I heard that all 2009 models don’t work, and 2010 models work. Anybody have insight or similar problems?

the 2009 units are compatible if you do a software upgrade on your unit. software is available at humminbird.com. upgraded my 917c earlier this year was super easy. load upgrade to a sd card. then plug card into unit. it will automatically upgrade software. then you are lakemaster compatible.

I did the software upgrade, but I no longer have temp and I noticed the store units have Weather Sense. How do you get that? I got an email out to them, but thought I'd see if you guys knew off hand.

Weather sense is an accessory you have to purchase separately. As far as losing your temp, you may have to re-adjust your info displayed on your screen to see it but I have no idea why it would have went away. Check all your tabs or the different views to see if it got hidden somehow.
