Have you ever had any success with any really wild colors on any type of bait. Just wondering, thanks

There was an article wrote by Mike Hulbert in Musky Hunter Magazine titled, "Goin' Gaudy". I believe that it was in the December 2008/January 2009 issue. Talks all about using bright, wacky colors.

Yep! Page 60 of that issue. A bucktail with pink/pink blades and pink/white skirt has caught a good amount of fish for me. Also have caught some fish on a pink Mag SuperD.....big girls just love PINK

there are those days. l.s.c. has the most fickle color patterns known to man or muskjies. the predominant factors. putting the wacky colors in the strike zone. some days the fish wont move.abstract, contrast colors work best here.certain hues of water colors dictate what to run. . some days a wacky color can make or break a fishing trip. then that color wont get bit for years to come.

Absolutely.

Time and place for everything and I love the "wacky" colors very bright days.  You know that period of time around 11 a.m. when you've been out since the crack of dawn with NO action whatsoever.  It's getting to be lunch time and everyone else is headed in (or anchored and eating lunch)...that's usually when I snap on a really gaudy, obscene looking lure.  Something that makes everyone else say, "You're putting THAT on???"

Check out the custom Timberwolf I got in the mail yesterday from Shane West.  As odd as it sounds, I've had particularly good luck with a blue/pink combo.

I have invented a color pattern of my own, as seen in the attached picture. It works well for pike at least, and is an "upside-down pattern" with a bright neon yellow back, bright green sides and black belly. Is that wacky enough?

I made more than 20 Nemos for Christmas one year, and even added the names of the gift recipients on the top of the lures. Taylor and I still hang ours from the Christmas tree evey year.

That is wild!  I love the finish of that lure...

That neon lure is pretty cool... kind of hurts my eyes to look at it though:).
