That was a long ride guys, but I'd like to point out that of all the forums I've been on the amount of actual-factual information on any given topic was almost non-existent. So Kudos to all those that brought their points up and had some factual information to back their point. Doesn't matter what side of the issue you are on, there was allot of eye opening information relayed and referenced. I felt I was pretty well versed on this topic and I learned a few things along the way! Too often the forum debate becomes a will to win issue, and this may have been that too. But there was allot of good information given out. What's wrong with 4 pages? Take the junk posts out, and it's quality reading.

I agree jakejusa. We learn something new everyday. And today in the Trib, we get to hear from a Tribal authority. I also heard Gov. Pawlenty on his radio show Friday, that he was sure that the State and the Tribes would be able to have a good dialogue. It looks like for the moment, that calmer, cooler heads are prevailing, and that diplomacy may yet win the day. There may well be changes coming, but hopefully we can avoid some of the heat and rhetoric that has boiled up in the past, and use some of the more recent examples of cooperation and shared interests.

Guys,

Not kicking the dead horse from last week, don't worry. Just wanted to say that even though it wasn't my intent to be abrasive in my first post, after re-reading it I can see how it could be interpreted that way. So sorry about that.

Johnnysled, I've never registered to post on any website. Don't have a real reason, just haven't. Not trying to hide behind the anonymous poster tag though.

We'll continue to disagree, I'm sure, but I agree with this thread starter, it's an interestng topic absent the vitriol.

It's OK to agree to disagree, hell the wife & I have done it for 30+ years! Seriously that is the foundation of our country. That's why some never feel the sacrifice others have made on their behalf. If you take this issue or any of the "critical, not-politically correct" issues we all have opinons on, and then step way back and look at them, all clearly point to a ongoing solution only through cooperation. Pick a topic and try it. Any way a one sided solution is imposed, the issue has a very negative impact & outcome. Well that sounded too much like a politician for me, scary!
