Location: Madison Wi. Chain | My Sonar is going out at high speeds and is not reading the bottom. When it does this it show depths that are to deep, when I slow down and come off plane it reads fine. Any ideas about what the problem and fix might be? Thanks BG |

Location: Minnesota: where it's tough to be a sportsfan! | Tracducer Mounting Location would be my guess without seeing it. It sould like you have turblence coming from the hull and going over the face of the transducer. Check for location and positive mounting angle. |

Location: Kodiak, AK | Sounds like your tansducer is either mounted in the wrong location and is coming out of the wter on plane, or it's location is fine and there's an issue with your bracket and it's flexing or moving while on plane. This would point the ducer aft while on plane and if you were in 10' it could be reading 15', 20' or more depending on how far back it's pointing.
Is this a new installation or has it been mounted for a while? |

Location: Madison Wi. Chain | Been mounted for a while, it visibly looks like it is lined up with the hull and does not appear to shift positions at high speeds, but good feedback. I probably should look at the mounting bracked as well. BG |

Location: Stevens Point, WI | I would double check how it's mounted, make sure it hasn't shifted or dropped. Just a little difference in how it was mounted can change the performance.
If it seems to be mounted in the right spot, your transducer may be going out. How old is your transducer? |
